All our activities are led by highly experienced staff who are passionate about creating safe, engaging, and memorable experiences for every child. Every team member completes safeguarding training, holds an enhanced DBS check, and possesses the appropriate qualifications for their role. We're proud to be a teacher-led organisation with extensive experience in delivering whole-school projects, sports programmes, and enrichment activities. Any external specialists who join us for themed days are fully vetted and DBS-checked to the same high standards. All new recruits take part in a thorough interview and induction process, followed by a shadowing period before leading their own groups — ensuring consistent quality and care across every session.
Our venues are carefully chosen for their outstanding facilities and year-round suitability. Each site offers spacious indoor areas, green outdoor spaces, and everything needed to keep children active and engaged in all seasons and weather conditions — from sunny summer days to chilly winter mornings and those inevitable rainy afternoons. Whatever your child's passion — and whatever the weather — you can be confident they'll enjoy an unforgettable experience at one of our camps. My Child
We know it can feel a little nerve-wracking sending your child to a new camp for the first time. Our friendly, experienced team will quickly put both you and your child at ease, ensuring they feel welcome and settle in smoothly. At Strive, we're passionate about creating high-quality, exciting, and supportive experiences where every child feels valued. Each child is paired with a dedicated Group Leader who helps them get to know the venue, staff, and daily routines. We also use buddy systems and start the day with team-building games, helping children make friends and engage in group activity straight away.
Dressing children in comfortable, footwear (trainers) and avoiding new or valuable clothing, as they will participate in activities in and outside which may include arts and crafts. For archery, children will need to wear long-sleeved tops, trousers, and ankle socks. Mobile phones we suggest not to bring – any emergencies can be done through the parent line – 07828811564. A swimming kit should be brought daily for water fun and towel, spare trainers. During warmer seasons, please apply sun protection cream to your child each morning and teach them how to reapply it during the day. Spray-on sun lotion is ideal for younger children, as staff can assist with application, and children can then rub it in themselves. Staff will remind children to reapply sun cream at break times and help younger ones if necessary. It's also advisable to send a broad-brimmed hat that shades the face, neck, and ears. All children should bring a lunchbox to camp. We do not provide food. Please pack a balanced lunch, including a snack for the morning and afternoon breaks. Since we lack refrigeration facilities, we suggest packing a small cool bag (lunch box size) with a frozen juice carton or a small ice pack to keep the contents fresh until lunchtime. Note that Strive has a strict no-nuts policy, so ensure there are no nut-containing items in your child's lunch.
Yes – please let us know about any medical, behavioural, or additional needs your child may have. This information should be recorded on our booking system (for example: diabetes, epilepsy, severe allergies, or other relevant conditions). The more detail you share with us, the better we can understand your child's needs and ensure they receive the highest standard of care and support while at camp. If your child requires medication during camp, please make sure to inform our staff when you arrive so we can manage this safely and appropriately.
Groupings
Children are grouped with others of a similar age. The maximum age difference will not be more than two years. Siblings are not automatically grouped together. Children are grouped according to the appropriate age groups. Let us know if you have any queries with grouping.
At Strive, we ensure that every child's needs are met by offering a wide range of age-appropriate and engaging activities tailored for children. We provide activities for aged 5 – 7 and ages 8 – 11. Check out the activities we provide at camps.
Groups are organised each morning after registration, and we keep them consistent throughout the day unless a change is necessary. Wherever possible, we maintain the same groups across the week to help children feel settled and comfortable.
